Our story

Karsan started with a ruined tube of lipstick.

It had been in a car in Dallas for one afternoon. It came out as a puddle. The foundation next to it had separated, and the balm never quite set again. None of it was cheap, and none of it was made to sit in a hot car, a gym locker, or a checked bag.

The insulated bags that existed were built for sandwiches. They worked, but they looked like lunch boxes, and nobody wanted one on a bathroom counter. So we made one that didn't. A lightweight, structured pouch with a heat-resistant lining, finished so it looks like an accessory rather than a cooler.

The version you see today is the result of a long series of small revisions to the shape, the zipper, and the lining. We make two sizes: the Small for the daily edit, and the Medium for the full routine. That's the whole line. We would rather make two things well than ten things quickly.
